All around us - everyday - people are waiting to hear of the love that God alone can provide. God has charged us with the responsibility of reaching people in our communities, nation and world with the good news of Jesus Christ. Lighthouse is committed to fulfilling this Great Commission with strategic missions partnerships.

In addition to the care of its members, Lighthouse strongly desires to reach out into the community to see those who do not know Christ be saved and become His disciples. We believe that in order for our church to be healthy and thriving, we must consistently be outwardly focused and attentive to the needs of those around us. The starting point of evangelism is often meeting someone at the point of a physical need, such as food or clothing.

Lighthouse partners with Asian Mission Outreach based out of Carrollton, Texas as they reach out to Siliguri, India to train pastors and leaders and send out missionaries to plant churches. Gautam Silal, Founder of Asian Mission Outreach, has built a large conference center called Himalayan Conference and Retreat Center (HIMCORCE) to serve up to 3000 people. The facility will also be used to host ministries such as YWAM and others. Asian Mission Outreach has help, to date, construct 30 church buildings and helps suppport other ministries including an orphanage near the Burma border.

Lighthouse partners with Care Center Ministries, which was established in 1986 to address the issues of addiction, poverty and crime through the power of the gospel of Jesus Christ. Their mission is "to be salt and light to the earth through Christian discovery, development and deployment." They reach out to the homeless and hurting in the inner-city Dallas area through men's residential aftercare housing, work training, substance abuse training, a leadership academy and a church.

Life Talk Resource Center  |  Frisco, TX

We opened our doors on May 18, 2009, and have had 28 clients as of November, 2009.  We are a non-profit resource center providing medical support, Christ-centered counseling and education regarding life affirming choices.  All our services are free to the client.  We offer pregnancy tests, limited ultrasound and sexually transmitted disease testing.  We counsel for life in unplanned pregnancies.  We counsel for the option of parenting the child, or parenting through adoption.  We do not offer abortion as an alternative, nor will we give any referral to an abortion facility.   We also offer a variety of bible studies here.  One of the most attended studies is the post-abortive bible study "Surrendering the Secret."  On November 30th we have 5 women attending this class to be leaders of the study and 6 women attending to find healing from the pain, shame and guilt abortion brings.

Global Network  |  Cambodia

Sophal and Deborah Ung have one of the largest churches in Cambodia. They feed the poor and provide for the needs of widows.  Additionally, there are more than 40 orphans they are raising up to be spiritual leaders in the marketplace.  They have also built many homes for the homeless and distribute much needed medical supplies from the US. Providing for the immediate needs of these people opens the door for the Ungs to share the gospel and profoundly impact a nation.

They regularly host training conferences for pastors and church leaders from outlying areas (including Viet Nam).  They have seen people miraculously healed, including those who were paralyzed, had long term pain in various parts of their body, excessive bleeding, stomach pain, etc.  The Lord used many of the orphans from the ministry to bring healing to the sick as well.

Sophal and Deborah are apostles who arrived in Phnom Penh, Cambodia in the early 1990's with a heart to minister to the entire area of Southeast Asia.  Despite Buddhism's strong influence, the Ungs have been able to start many churches throughout the country's provinces. Their ministry brings tremendous light to an impoverished nation, which was
devastated by the Khmer Rouge. This land that was known as the "killing fields" is being transformed into living fields by God's mercy and grace.

Lighthouse invests in many other ministries that are reaching out with the good news of Jesus Christ.  For example, in the Prosper area, Lighthouse also partners with Bethlehem Place to help meet the needs of local families with pressing financial needs. We invite you to partner with us as we reach out to influence our community and accomplish the Great Commission!
